MAKEUP ARTIST APPLICATION
Fashion Sizzle® New York Fashion Week (NYFW)
Fashion Sizzle® New York Fashion Week invites experienced and emerging makeup artists to apply to join our official backstage beauty team during New York Fashion Week. Makeup artists play a critical role in executing each designer’s creative vision and ensuring models are camera- and runway-ready.
Produced by Sizzle Arts, Fashion Sizzle® NYFW brings together designers, models, and beauty professionals in a high-energy, professional fashion week environment.
WHO SHOULD APPLY
We welcome:
Professional makeup artists with runway or editorial experience
Licensed or certified makeup professionals
Beauty artists specializing in clean beauty, glam, editorial, and natural looks
Artists experienced with diverse skin tones and textures
Freelance and salon-based makeup artists
NYFW experience is preferred but not required.
ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Selected makeup artists may be responsible for:
Creating runway-ready makeup looks based on designer direction
Working efficiently in backstage environments under time constraints
Applying makeup on multiple models within scheduled timelines
Collaborating with hair stylists, designers, and lead beauty directors
Maintaining hygiene, sanitation, and professional standards

REQUIREMENTS
Applicants must:
Submit a professional portfolio (photos or social media links)
Be available for rehearsals, fittings, and show days

Follow backstage schedules and protocols

SELECTION PROCESS
Applications are reviewed by the Fashion Sizzle® NYFW beauty team. Selection is based on:
Technical skill and portfolio quality
Professional experience
Ability to work in fast-paced runway environments
Alignment with Fashion Sizzle® NYFW production needs
Approved applicants will be contacted via email with next steps.
